For women waking up to themselves through the initiation of perimenopause
You never expected it to feel like this.
They told you about the hot flashes, but feeling like a stranger in your own life? You probably didn’t see that coming.
What I had to figure out on my own is that perimenopause is so much more than just a physical transition.
It’s a spiritual initiation that asks us to look at the beliefs and patterns that have been running our lives and decide who we want to be in this next chapter.
This often means shedding old identities and sometimes even relationships that no longer belong in the life we’re stepping into.
And that can be really painful.
I know because I’ve been there.
Hey love, I’m Jessie May.
I know how disorienting it can be when the life you built and the roles that once gave you purpose no longer fit the way they used to.
I spent years building toward the career, marriage and version of myself that looked competent and put together from the outside.
I assumed that with all that effort, I’d eventually arrive at some permanent state of having everything figured out.
Then, when I finally thought I was getting close, perimenopause caught me by surprise and everything started falling apart.
My body was suddenly unpredictable and didn’t respond the way it used to. And the version of me who could hold everything together for everyone else didn’t work the same way anymore either.
I sank into a deep void where my identity was unraveling and I had no idea who I was becoming.
There I had to sit with myself, to question the stories that had been shaping my life, and to let go of needing answers before I was ready to receive them.
Eventually, through a lot of therapy, plant medicine journeys, women’s circles, and learning to stay with myself in the not knowing, I found my way home.
Everything this initiation has taught me has changed the way I show up in my life and in my relationships, and I don’t want to keep it to myself.
That’s why I created this space to work together.
How we’ll spend our time
Our sessions are a place to slow down and get curious about the parts of yourself you’re outgrowing, the patterns that have shaped you and the messages your body wants you to hear.
During our sessions we might talk about the symptoms that are getting in the way of living your life, as well as the deeper questions coming up, like “is this even the life I want to be living?”
We’ll explore what you’re ready to release and what it might look like to create a life that feels more aligned with who you are now.
And sometimes we’ll sit together in the not-knowing. There’s so much wisdom in this space, even when it feels uncomfortable.
I’ll be there alongside you reflecting back what I notice and helping you reconnect with the wisdom you already carry.
I’ve been doing this work for 17 years as a Certified Professional Co-Active Coach. Long before perimenopause became part of my story, I was helping women uncover what was true for them. Today, I bring that same way of listening into this work, along with everything this initiation has taught me.
Ways to work together
No matter where you are on this journey, we’ll start exactly where you are.
You might arrive with specific questions, or you might simply know that you don’t feel like yourself anymore and you want a space to honor what’s happening. You don’t need to have it all figured out before we begin.
Working together is simple.
You can book one session if you’re looking for support with something specific or need an hour to be heard by someone who understands what this feels like.
Or you can purchase a package of 5 sessions if you’d like deeper support as you sit with what’s coming up and begin creating a life that feels more like your own.
