Very powerful and very relevant! Thank you for these beautiful words to describe what many of us are going through right now.

Oh I love the thought of what if we don't need to be planted. Our roots are within us anyway!

This really spoke to me, especially the idea of building a life without needing it to “settle” first. I’m in that space now!

There’s something confronting in how much of what we call stability is actually just familiarity masked as safety.

Great work! 🤍

Oh wow, stability being just familiarity masked as safety really landed! ❤️

It really is…

We get so used to something that it starts to feel like safety, even when it isn’t.

It can take a long time to see it clearly. :-)

I feel I am always in the void, in between who I was and who I am becoming. Turning 52 in a few days and still on the journey of finding myself in the midst of all the noise, societal and my own thoughts. Thank you for sharing your experience ❤️

Happy early birthday! Best wishes on your journey to finding yourself. 🫶

I love the idea of being like an air plant. 🌱 I have felt this way, too. Like I’m a plant but I’ve been unrooted…and what now? Thrive. 💚

I love hearing that you’ve felt this way too! Thanks for sharing!

What a beautiful comparison with the airplant...love nature and it's lessons.

Thanks Ann! I’ve found so many lessons in nature once I started paying attention!

I relate with alot of what you write, and often wonder if it's perimenopause or what lol

Jessie May ✨ Alchemy & Ash's avatar

It could be! Perimenopause isn’t the only time in life we go through these emotions, but it sure is a common time to experience them!

This was such a beautiful read. Thank you! A friend gave me one of these plants a few years back, that friend (& plant!) changed my perspective on life in a whole new beautiful way. I believe they come in to our lives, right when we need to shift perspectives about life itself 🤍

Wow! That’s so magical to hear that the air plant (and your friend) were the catalyst to a perspective shift for you too!
